Juan Chavez

No challenge seems too big for Juan Chavez. In fact, Juan goes around looking for new challenges.

Maybe that’s why his manager in the Series 900 Hinged Door department, Jason Wengert, refers to him as “the one and only number Juan.”

Let’s let Wengert elaborate: “In order to improve averages and add value to the team, a person needs to be willing to take on new challenges, such as run the CNC, install hardware, develop diversity on the team, and diversify his product knowledge.”

That’s a pretty good summation of Juan, who as Series 900 lead also enjoys strategizing ways to improve and bouncing ideas off of management.

Juan, who started with the company in July 2014, also is a darn good partner.

“No matter how difficult the constraints, he understands to push forward and not lose focus or temperament as a lead,” Wengert says. “And he strives to compel others to stay on a positive path.”

One time, Juan stayed behind after his shift to meet daily production standards. And, Wengert says, he did it alone.

“No matter how heavy the schedule or pressure I put on him,” Wengert says, “he strategizes ways to complete the impossible — on time and correct the first time.”

Congratulations to Juan Chavez, Western Window Systems’ day shop employee of the month for April.
