Once again, Western Window Systems is a participating partner in The New American Remodel, set to debut at the NAHB International Builders’ Show next February in Las Vegas.
The home, engineered and designed by Luxus Design Build, is considered a showcase of innovation, featuring products recently introduced into the marketplace. According to the NAHB website, The New American Remodel “illustrates how today’s industry products can be utilized and integrated into a remodel home to exhibit more efficient methods than in the past.”
To that end, Western Window Systems will be featuring its Series 600 Multi-Slide Door in the home’s great room in addition to Series 600 Windows throughout the home and a Series 900 Hinged Door on the first floor.
Beyond the energy-efficient doors and windows, the home will feature numerous products and systems dedicated to maximum energy performance, including Energy Star-rated tankless water heaters, insulated pipes, LED lighting, solar panels, onsite well water for irrigation, indigenous landscaping with a minimum amount of grass, and low-flow toilets. It all adds up to a preliminary HERS index of 58. The home is expected to be 42 percent more efficient than the average new home, saving the homeowner over $1,600 a year.
Other sponsors of The New American Remodel project include Las Vegas-based Custom Home Window and Door and Blitz Construction of Henderson, Nevada.
