Some people are considered jacks of all trades but masters of none. But then there’s Bernard Koskei, who most certainly is a master of at least one trade – that one being the CNC.
The panels team member draws rave reviews from management for his ability to do it all on the shop’s key piece of manufacturing.
“Bernard stepped up to the plate when we needed him the most as a CNC operator,” says panels manager Daniel Thompson. “And with his vast knowledge of processing/CNC, he’s eager to help coworkers whenever they have questions or just need a little help.”
Bernard, who started with the company in November 2015, took it a step further when the CNCs did not have all the necessary programs. He simply found a way to still get the job done and keep the customer happy.
And in the company’s core value of Innovation, Bernard also stands out.
“He comes up with the most effective ways to get the job done when given oddball tasks from our sales and service teams, such as actuator only, when we stopped providing SGD handles,” says Thompson.
Plus, there are the high standards he sets for himself and those around him.
“He is always up for the next challenge, no matter how difficult,” says Thompson. “He never gives up on the task at hand, he always has the customer in mind, and he never settles for subpar product.”
