This casual taco shop, from Phoenix-based restaurant group Upward Projects
, mixes modern touches and retro flair with a healthy dose of indoor/outdoor living. Set in a refurbished 1970s building, a wraparound patio with retractable floor-to-ceiling glass walls (Series 600
) from Western Window Systems serves as one of the restaurant’s key features, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor dining spaces.
This stacking multi-slide door opens up the main dining room of Joyride to a casual patio dining space.
With all the multi-slides open, the boundary between the inside and the outdoors virtually disappears.
Western’s hinged windows are utilized as well. From RSP Architects
, and Shannon Construction.
