Cameron Wyatt and Kraig Hoekstra were mentioned in the latest issue of Arizona Engineering Magazine, the official publication of the University of Arizona’s College of Engineering for their contribution to Western Window Systems’ winning Window & Door magazine’s Crystal Achievement Award.
The award for “Most Innovative Manufacturing Process” was given to Western Window Systems for its groundbreaking efforts on the Series 7600 Multi-Slide Door, which achieved an Energy Star rating and DP50 structural rating while maintaining a thin sightline and clean aesthetic.
Wyatt, vice president of design and supply chain, is a 2006 graduate of UofA’s College of Engineering. Hoekstra, manufacturing engineering manager, is a 2008 graduate of the school.
Manufacturing engineer Dustin Wright, another graduate of the College of Engineering, also appears in the magazine, getting a shout-out as owner and senior mechanical engineer of Phoenix Race Works, which builds Formula One racecars. The 2006 UofA grad joined Western Window Systems in July 2017.
