Our products in Phoenix Home & Garden

on Monday, 06 February 2012.

Phoenix Home & GardenRecently the dream home of Dena Howry was featured in Phoenix Home & Gardenin the October 2011 issue. This contemporary desert home is full of spectacular views and is a passion project for her after years of moving to many homes across the country. One key element of her dream home, was their selection of a windows and door supplier. As the article states, “Perhaps the most important part of the new design is how it celebrates the outdoors, welcoming it into almost every room of the house with walls of windows. ‘If you walk up to the house at dusk, you can see the sunset all the way through the front door and back windows,’ Howry remarks. Those windows telescope open to a backyard that offers amenities for all seasons, including a diving pool for hot summer months, a fire pit for cool fall evenings, and a seating area with a TV for sipping coffee on mid spring mornings.” Western Window Systems is always a perfect choice for homeowners that want the best indoor/outdoor living and creating glass walls to capture spectacular views. As Window & Door Magazine prepared for its annual forecast issue, they sought out successful industry executives to share their thoughts and projections for the coming year. They used information gathered from these interviews to create their “Embracing the Reality of 2012” feature article (READ MORE HERE) for their January 2012 issue. The magazine requested the chance to interview Western president Jason Funk, and they were pleasantly surprised to hear about the optimistic outlook and aggressive growth plan he has for Western in spite of a down economy. Jason said, “While we don’t anticipate a significant increase in home starts this year, we are still forecasting major growth for our company in 2012. Differentiation, marketing, quality, new markets, etc. – all of these factors play into the equation for our continued success.” To read the full interview please CLICK HERE.

Great project in Dallas Morning News

on Friday, 13 January 2012.

article8

This contemporary home is a stark white box created by Western architectural partner Russell Buchanan. The home has caused quite a stir in the greater Dallas area because of its stark differences from the other homes in the neighborhood. In lieu of 10 year old castles and million-dollar bungalows, Buchanan’s design includes steel frames, metal siding, plexiglass half walls, and of course….Western windows and doors. While some neighbors are calling this home a “monstronsity”, we celebrate the courage of the homeowner and the architect on their unique styling. As a company, Western has always tried to think differently and live outside of the box. We love partners like Russell that do the same. Got Thermal Break?

on Wednesday, 20 April 2011.

article6Yes we do! As of early 2009, the Series 600 Multi-slide, Pocket, and Sliding Patio Door have been added to Western’s collection of thermally broken products. All Products beside our 100 Series have Thermally Broken option available.

For harsher environments we offer “Thermal Break” on both our frame and panels. Thermal break lowers u-factors, limits condensation, increases energy performance, and most of all reduces thermal conductivity. High humidity and extreme hot or cold temperatures are not an issue when choosing a Western Door or Window.
