Multi-Slide Configurations and Sizes are Almost Endless

Western's modular frame design allows you to configure any number of rolling and fixed glass panels to meet your specific design requirements. Rolling panels can be stored in pockets or stacked at one or both ends of the opening. They can bi-part at 90 degrees, 180 degrees or any angle in between with our innovative Yoke design.

Panels stored in pockets are designed to be totally flush with adjacent wall finishes, providing an unobstructed view of your patio, pool or landscape beyond. Western's Multi-Slide Doors are designed and manufactured specifically for each application in sizes exceeding 12'0" high with virtually no limit in width.

Sight Lines

Western's Multi-Slide Option 660 provides a narrow 1.5" wide interlock stile and is available up to a maximum of 108" in height. Option 630 has a beefy 2.5" interlock stile that is required for doors over 108." Compare Western's narrow lock stile sight lines to those of Fleetwood's excessive stile and you will see why architects continue to choose western when capturing the view is paramount.

Quality Product with Ease of Installation

We understand the importance of a complete and professional door installation and have incorporated a number of specific features to simplify the process. All components are processed and fabricated into major frame and panel assemblies in our factory to minimize installation time and costly field errors. The head and threshold assemblies of aluminum pocket doors are prepared to precisely locate field applied interior and exterior post interlock members to ensure that the rolling glass panels are fully interlocked when in the closed position. The post interlocks also provide a return point for interior and exterior wall finishes. The water barrier and flush threshold assemblies for pocket doors incorporate an integral pan with a ¾ high water barrier to eliminate the possibility of leakage into the pocket walls. The water is channeled out of the pocket and then to the outside of the building through weep holes in the tracks. A cushioned stop is attached to the threshold assembly to quietly stop the rolling panels at the proper location. A pocket closure is provided to hide the empty pocket when the door is in the closed position. When properly specified for your application and installed by a qualified Western Window Systems Dealer, the Series 600 Multi-Slide door system will provide many years of service and enjoyment.

Frame Finishes

Frame finishes are available in virtually any color of high performance Kynar paint and Dark Bronze and Clear anodized. Our most popular frame finishes are Warmtone Tan paint and Dark Bronze anodized. Western maintains a significant inventory of these two finishes to facilitate competitive pricing and short lead times.

Hardware

Smooth, quiet and long lasting operation is assured by Western's heavy-duty tandem roller assemblies. Whether you specify a Narrow Stile with 1.5" diameter rollers, a Medium Stile with 1.81" diameter rollers, or our 3" Monster Roller. The assemblies are capable of handling more than twice the weight of the largest panel available. A fully mortised multipoint hook lock engages an adjustable stainless steel strike plate for added strength and security. A dust box behind the strike is standard and will hide the wall behind the jamb. The operation of oversize panels is simplified by a custom extruded aluminum open pull or our new premium handle, both are strong and comfortable to use. Our custom flush pull handle with deep pockets to allow you a comfortable grip on the door.

Threshold Options

One of the three available threshold options is sure to meet your design criteria. The "Water Barrier" threshold provides significant protection from water penetration and is recommended for all exterior applications. The Flush threshold traps and diverts water to the exterior, but will not prevent water penetration from blowing rain or pressure from a water hose used to wash the doors or surfaces adjacent to the door. The Thinline threshold consists of staggered tracks embedded in the floor allowing the floor material to run between the tracks exposing only a thin line where the panels roll. The "Thinline" threshold almost disappears, but provides no protection from water penetration.

Glass

Western's Multi-slide doors are designed to accommodate Duo-Pane insulating glass manufactured with a ½ air gap to maximize the benefit of high-performance Low-E. They can also be glazed with a variety of glass types, colors and configurations in thickness from 3/16 to 1".

Optional Screen

Screens for Western's Multi-Slide doors are optional and must be specified when ordering. Constructed using the same frame and hardware components as the glass doors, the screen doors are strong, smooth operating and aesthetically pleasing.
