University of Texas Track & Field ESPN Booth
Austin - Texas
The University of Texas recently had some remodel work done in one of the media booths of the Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer Stadium. The desire for the booth, used by ESPN for sports telecasts, was to be able to open the entire wall for optimal viewing but also allow staff to secure it for better soundproofing and weather flexibility. Their answer was found when the design team utilized Western's 600 Series Multi-Slide Windows to create a moving wall of glass.

Francis Xavier Nava Elementary
Santa Fe - New Mexico
The Francis Xavier Nava Elementary School was built in the late 1960s and has been educating children in Santa Fe Vistas, New Mexico ever since. However, as the school has aged, one of the most dated and least functional features of the building was the old slide vent windows. The architectural team and the school wanted to upgrade to new, energy efficient windows that wouldn’t change the look of the existing building. Working with Western, we were able to meet these needs effectively.

Gila Residence Hall - University of Arizona
Tucson - Arizona
When the University of Arizona determined they needed to replace the old, single-pane windows of Gila Residence Hall, they wanted to do so without sacrificing the historical look of the building. Working with the design team, Western came up with a 700 Series Casement detail that utilized t-bar and true divided light that emulate the steel windows they replaced. The custom color was matched, the new codes were kept and the end product was perfect.
