Lincoln Financial Group® is our provider of dental insurance. ‘Westerners’ are eligible to enroll the first of the month following 60 days of employment. With Lincoln Financial Group covering 100% of preventive services (routine exams, cleanings, etc.) expenses for dentists inside the network and 80% for those outside the network, the in-network savings is significant. Basic services (fillings, sealants, etc.) are covered at 80% in-network and 60% out-of-network. Major services (crowns, periodontal surgery, etc.) are covered at 50% in-network and 40% out-of-network. And children can receive orthodontic services with 50% in-network coverage and 40% out-of-network. A $50 deductible does apply for an enrolled individual and a $150 deductible applies to a family. Employees who enroll in Health Net’s Medical Plan have the additional option of enrolling in the separate Vision Plan. Health Net’s vast network of eye care providers and their flexible service hours make locating providers and scheduling visits quite feasible. Health Net Vision Member Services is a toll-free call away from providing you names of local eye care providers, which can also be found online. Frames, annual eye exams, UV coating, standard scratch-resistance, standard anti-reflective, contact lenses, and laser vision correction are all made more affordable through this plan.
Western Window Systems offers employees, with one year of service, to take advantage of flexible spending accounts, beginning the following month. Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) allow employees to set aside a pre-determined, pre-tax dollar amount to use towards IRS approved purchases. Participants are reimbursed as expenses are incurred. We offer two different savings options, none, one or both may be chosen. The first is a healthcare reimbursement account, in which qualified medical expenses may be reimbursed with the pre-tax money you’ve elected to have deducted from your weekly paycheck. This is a great option to offset the costs of co-pays, prescription drugs, and some over-the-counter medications to name a few. The second savings option is dependent care reimbursement. If you have a child (under the age of 13) in daycare or a parent who goes to a daycare facility so that you can work, this may be highly beneficial for you. The IRS has set the maximum limit at $5,000 per calendar year. (The maximum amount may be lower depending on your tax filing status.) The major benefit of these options is your taxable income is reduced and you can be reimbursed for qualified medical purchases you’re already buying!
Services for employees and their dependents include free short-term counseling, legal consultations, financial counseling, child care referrals, pet care referrals, and more.
Lincoln Financial Group is also our provider of group and voluntary life insurance. Affordable voluntary life insurance is available for you, your spouse, and/or dependent children. Maximum coverage for “Westerner’s” is $100,000, $50,000 maximum for one’s spouse, and a flat rate of $10,000 for dependent children. Although we would hate to see you go, Lincoln Financial Group provides portability (continuation of coverage upon terminating employment) and conversion (following termination of employment you can change your group life insurance to an individual life policy) options provided certain conditions have been met. In the event that a covered member has less than twelve months to live, the Living Benefit would permit that person to withdraw up to 75% of the life insurance coverage while still living.
Lincoln Financial Group is also our provider of long term disability insurance, which is offered to Western employees the first of the month following 60 days of employment. We never know when we may become severely ill or be unable to work for some other medical reason. Long term disability protects your paycheck and insures that 60% of your income up to $6,000/month will be paid should you be away from work for more than 90 days. You and your family deserve the peace of mind a steady paycheck can provide while you are unable to work. Weekly costs vary from person to person based on age and pay rate. Pre-existing medical exclusions do apply.

As a way to show our appreciation for exceptional employees, each month, one outstanding employee is given the Employee of the Month Award. He or she is given a special certificate, along with a $50 restaurant gift card. The Employee of the Month’s photograph is posted on both bulletin boards, along with a message that highlights the key reasons this person was chosen. You never know, this could be you one day!
Good people know other good people. Our best employees have been hired through referrals. Western encourages you to recommend candidates for opportunities here and will award you if your referral accepts our offer.
Western Window Systems puts safety first! Once a month our Safety Committee meets to discuss ways to maintain a safe working environment for all of Western’s employees. Afterwards, a safety meeting is held to highlight key points and observations made by the safety committee and to award one lucky winner $50 in cash. At Western, safety is first and foremost!
In conjunction with Maricopa County and Valley Metro, Western encourages employees to do our part in reducing traffic congestion and pollution by using alternate modes of transportation. Walking, riding the bus and carpooling are all preferred methods of getting to and from work. Everyone benefits from cleaner air. For employees who ride the bus, Western will pay 50% of your bus expenses, up to half the cost of a full month pass. As an added bonus, Western rewards employees monthly who have performed any of the three alternate modes of transportation listed above. During our Safety Meeting, a drawing is held in which three people are rewarded prizes worth $20.00. Additional prizes related to reducing traffic and pollution are awarded on a quarterly basis.
