Specifications

Insulating glass shall be DUO-PANE® as manufactured by Western Window Systems, and shall conform to ASTM Specification E774-97 for insulating glass. Insulating glass shall be manufactured using 3mm (1/8) thick glass up to 20 square feet, 5mm (3/16) thick glass up to 40 square feet and 6mm (1/4) thick glass over 40 square feet, all with a minimum air space of ½. Minimum single pane glass thickness shall be 5mm (3/16) up to 32 square feet and 6mm (1/4) over 32 square feet. Insulating and single pane glass shall conform to ASTM Specification C1036-90, Standard Specification for Flat Glass. All glazing in doors shall be fully tempered or laminated. Laminated is only recommended for special applications up to 28 square feet. All DUO-PANE® units shall be dual-sealed using polyisobutylene (PIB) as the primary seal and silicone as the secondary seal.
